Visitors responded to this Thursday, June 19th for this new edition of the event “The Seine-Nord Europe Canal, an opportunity for employment!”. Organized by the partners of Employment Channel, Training Channel et Solidarity Channel in partnership with the town hall of Montmacq, this meeting allowed many visitors to discover and learn about the Canal professions.
A look back at this key event for the development of local employment.
Between machine driving simulators, an introductory workshop and a guided tour of a base camp, the immersion was complete for the visitors who were able to discover a wide range of construction and public works professions.
“I’m discovering lots of things today, it’s very good.” Although she was not naturally drawn to these professions, the event was an opportunity for Amanda, currently looking for a job, to discover an interest in the electrician and painter professions for which she was able to obtain more information.
During short guided tours of the Montmacq base camp, visitors were able to learn more about the daily lives of the site workers, discover the personal protective equipment (PPE) essential on construction sites and get an overview of the Montmacq spillway construction site.
Visitors were able to exchange with training professionals, learn about paving alongside an Elfe Formation trainer, or even exchange with students from the Ribécourt Horticultural High School on the subject, in particular, of training as a landscape gardener, one of the many professions recruiting on the Canal!
It was also, for many of them, the opportunity to meet recruitment professionals and submit their applications.
