Monday, November 28, 2016, Alain Vidalies, Secretary of State for Transport, the Sea and Fisheries, brought together representatives of the Hauts-de-France and Ile-de-France regions and the departments of Nord, Pas- de-Calais, the Somme and the Oise to work on the Canal Seine-Nord Europe project.
This meeting made it possible to reach an agreement on a draft financial protocol between all the parties, thanks in particular to an additional effort by the Hauts-de-France region.
The outcome of this negotiation phase marks the voluntarism and the commitment of all the partners for the realization of this major project supported by Europe, at the service of the territories and the national economy.
