Call for projects “Afforestation and reforestation compensatory measures”

The Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe is launching a call for projects “afforestation and reforestation compensatory measures” in order to carry out afforestation in partnership with landowners. The Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe will finance the planting, in return for a sustainable management commitment from the owner over a period of 15 years.

The Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe, in accordance with the commitments made within the framework of the Declarations of Public Utility and the regulatory requirements, provides for a series of compensatory measures for the clearing necessary for the construction of the canal. It has chosen to carry out these compensations by planting and replanting, in order to contribute to the maintenance and development of the regional wood sector.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 14, 2020. Projects will be selected according to the criteria detailed in the attached documents.
