To free up the necessary space for the Canal between Thourotte and Montmacq, the Oise river will be moved over almost 4 km. The rescinding work – the technical term for this type of intervention – begins in September and will last approximately 2 years.

The new bed of the Oise is made up of 2 parts:

  • 650 m south-west of Montmacq,
  • 2,9 km between the bridge of the Thourotte – Montmacq municipal road and that of the RD 66 between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt.

Around this operation, two works are created:

  • a weir between the new bed of the Oise and the future Canal,
  • a siphon to pass the Moulinet stream under the future Canal

Three new bridges are also being built on the RD 66 to cross over the rescinded Oise, the Seine-Nord Europe Canal and the Oise side canal.

The two current bridges on the side canal to the Oise and the Oise will be deconstructed at the end of 2023.

Finally, a new road is created in Pimprez, with a bridge allowing the connection between the RD 40 and the RD 932, thus completing the deviation of the industrial zone of Ribécourt.
