SCSNE Supervisory Board

Europe reiterates its support for the project

The members of the Canal Seine-Nord Europe supervisory board met on Thursday March 15, 2018, in the presence of representatives of the European Commission who reaffirmed their support for the project:

  • Jean-Louis Colson, Head of Trans-European Unit B1 of the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG Move)
  • Pawel Stelmaszcyk, Advisor to Peter Balazs, North Sea Mediterranean Corridor Coordinator
  • Nadia Chellafa, from the "Innovation and Networks" Executive Agency (INEA) for monitoring the Seine Escaut network

The future headquarters in Compiègne

The other essential point of the Supervisory Board concerned the designation of the future headquarters of the project company.

Five towns applied: Amiens, Arras, Cambrais, Compiègne and Noyon.

The city of Compiègne was chosen, following a secret ballot vote, between the members of the Supervisory Board.
