The Seine-Nord Europe Canal Company commissioned the company Hydrogéotechnique Nord et Est to carry out a geotechnical reconnaissance campaign on sector 1 of the project.
This campaign, costing €1,5 million, involves carrying out approximately 185 surveys between Compiègne and Noyon. These surveys began on June 4, 2018. Five survey workshops will operate simultaneously.
Depending on the surveys carried out, the technical staff uses more or less heavy drilling machines to dig into the ground in order to take soil cores or carry out mechanical tests to determine the nature and physical and chemical characteristics of the land.
The owners affected by these surveys are contacted individually to define the terms of access to their plots.
