Major Project approach: the operational phase is launched!

The Grand Chantier approach entered its operational phase on February 4, 2020. This set of 5 systems, co-managed by the State and the Hauts-de-France region, aims to enable the territories crossed by the Seine-Nord Europe Canal to organize themselves in order to reap all the benefits of the future construction site, particularly in terms of employment and economic development.

In the premises of the Amiens-Picardie Chamber of Commerce and Industry, around 80 people worked all day on the operational roadmap for the approach. After a news item, the results of a very rich study on future labor needs, involving training needs upstream, were presented. The collective work continued in collaborative workshops around 4 themes: canal-side developments, employment – ​​training – integration – economic development, site reception and organization, Grand Chantier observatory.

The feedback from the workshops took place in the presence of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Xavier Bertrand, who insisted on the importance of the collective to carry this dynamic throughout the Region. “Alone we go faster, together we go further” he recalled in conclusion.
