Join the Bonhomme Hike on Sunday, September 13th

Want to discover the landscapes of the Somme valley in a different way?

Whether you're a hiking enthusiast, a cycling aficionado, or simply looking for an outing with family or friends, everyone can enjoy the remarkable landscapes of the area, from towpaths and CSNE environmental features to local heritage sites. Refreshments will be available along the routes so you can fully enjoy this morning in the open air.

Two cycling routes will be offered starting from the Birds' Trail in Cléry-sur-Somme:

  • 35 km loop: Cléry-sur-Somme > Hem-Monacu > Curlu > Eclusier-Vaux > Suzanne > Cappy > Frise > Feuillères > Biaches > Cléry-sur-Somme 
  • 15 km loop: Cléry-sur-Somme > Hem-Monacu > Feuillères > Biaches > Cléry-sur-Somme

Two walking routes will be offered:

  • Single of 9 km between the Canal House in Péronne and the Bird Trail in Cléry-sur-Somme.
  • Round trip of 18 km between the Bird Trail in Cléry-sur-Somme and the Canal House in Péronne.

Before heading to the starting point to share a friendly moment around food trucks, two educational stops will be offered before you reach:

  • in Biaches to present the ecological developments implemented before the start of major construction work on the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. An opportunity to discover the environmental challenges linked to this major project.
  • in Cléry-sur-Somme to present the features of the Somme Canal Bridgean iconic structure that will soon overlook the Somme valley.

To register, click here and choose your hike (walking or cycling), the desired distance and departure time (departures take place every half hour between 8:30 and 10:00, last arrival expected at 13:00 for the friendly moment).

The price is €5 per participant and €15 for families (2 adults and 2 children).
