Works info: truck traffic this summer

Posted on 10 July 2023

What is it about ?

As part of the Canal Seine-Nord Europe (CSNE) work, four structures are under construction: the three RD 66 bridges between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt and the RD 40 bis bridge between Ribécourt- Dreslincourt and Pimprez.
In order to continue the operations on these works, materials are necessary, in particular for the construction of the ramps of the bridges and must be transported from the construction site of the excavation of the new bed of the Oise. Rotations of trucks (road tractors with semi-trailers) transporting an average of 20 tons of materials will therefore be carried out between Montmacq and Ribécourt-Dreslincourt.

When are the trucks going?

Truck traffic between CSNE worksites will start this summer 2023 and will continue until the end of the year*.

What materials are transported by trucks?

The digging of the new bed of the Oise – called rescindement – between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt, generates cuttings temporarily stored on deposit areas so that the water they contain is evacuated. Once dry, these materials can be reused to build bridge railings. It is mainly this rubble that will be transported to the construction site of the RD 40 bis bridge.

Main truck routes

Truck traffic has been arranged to reduce the use of public roads as much as possible. The passage by paths and roads of industrial zones was thus privileged. Site signage is in place to regulate the transport of materials between sites.

* Subject to weather conditions and site hazards.

Did you know?

The RD 40 bis bridge will rise nearly 11 meters above the water level of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. To build its ramps, approximately 110 m³ of backfill are needed.

Safety is everyone's business at all times

When approaching construction sites and on the road, be attentive and adapt your speed to the traffic conditions. For your safety and that of staff, we thank you for your vigilance.

Additional information on local traffic from August 21 to September 8

During this period, the trucks carrying out the rotations towards the construction sites of the bridges will emerge from the south of Montmacq (at the level of 170 rue du Maréchal Joffre) as well as near the municipal road Thourotte-Montmacq, by the lane of the River. They will continue their journey towards Ribécourt-Dreslincourt according to the route shown on the map below.
