The supervisory board approves the preliminary project studies of sector 1

Published on September 27 2018

The SCSNE Supervisory Board chaired by Xavier Bertrand met on September 27, 2018 in Nesle. These meetings, organized as close as possible to the route of the future Seine Nord Europe Canal, make it possible to share the expectations of the territories towards the project. José Rioja, mayor of Nesle, was able to recall the dynamism and mobilization of the territory around the Canal.

During this meeting, the supervisory board notably voted on two important deliberations:

  • approval of pre-project studies for sector 1 between Compiègne and PasseL. This approval makes it possible to broaden consultation in the sector as part of the continuation of studies planned for 2019.
  • Validation of the framework partnership agreement of the system «  Solidarity Channel ». This agreement between the SCSNE and the 6 departments (Aisne, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Somme and Val d'Oise) aims to strengthen the effectiveness of people's integration systems. far from employment. A system which has already been tested since 2017 and which has produced very convincing results: nearly 10 people have been able to find employment in companies contracted with the SCSNE. You will soon be able to find a testimony of their experience on our website. This agreement is the second outcome of the major project approach validated by the Supervisory Board; a first agreement with Pôle emploi was signed last June.

President Xavier Bertrand and representatives of the departmental councils recalled that the priority of this project was employment.
