The Seine-Escaut EEIG's 2021 activity report is available

Resulting from an unprecedented European cooperation approach, the Seine-Escaut network will link the Seine basin in France to that of the Scheldt in Belgium., thanks to the construction of a new river link, the Canal Seine-Nord Europe, as well as the modernization and regeneration of existing canals. 

The network will then reinforce the European transport offer with its 1 km of navigable waterways, suitable for large vessels. Modern and efficient, Seine-Escaut responds to major European as well as local challenges: it encourages carbon-free transport adapted to future economic and commercial needs and improves the territorial continuity of a territory with more than 100 million inhabitants.
