As part of the environmental development work on the Seine-Nord Europe canal, the SCSNE has just signed a partnership with the Ribécourt horticulture and landscaping high school. A plot of approximately 1 hectare will be converted into a wetland, within the grounds of the school, on the site of the "old poplar plantation".
Two ponds will be created, afforestation and riparian forest (vegetation bordering the aquatic environment) will be planted.
This partnership fully mobilizes the high school students who contributed to the development plan and will be in charge of planting and managing the plot.
Construction work is expected to begin in May 2018.
