A first Canal House opened its doors on the route of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal (CSNE).
Located in Compiègne, at the junction between the MAGEO project (Mise Au Gabarit Européen de l'Oise) and the CSNE, you will discover a permanent exhibition which presents the project as a whole as well as a part dedicated to territory of Compiégnois.
thematic exhibitions Temporary events are also organized there 2 to 3 times a year as well as workshops, conferences and on-call sessions! Un Thursday afternoon per month, from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. and one Saturday morning per semester, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., come and ask your questions about the work, the route, the structures, job opportunities...

Concrete translation of a partnership with National Education, the exhibition “ Listen to the Channel » presented from June 17 to August 2, 2025 allowed visitors to discover the creations of middle and high school students from 5 establishments in the region, inspired by the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. The temporary exhibition of the March 4 to April 30, 2025 presented the environmental measures implemented in sector 1 of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. Between the November 6, 2024 and January 4, 2025, the exhibition “From one bank to the other, new bridges in Compiègne” retraced the construction of the first works of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal in Compiègne. It also presented a retrospective film operations of the last two years.
For the first time, a game booklet "On the Canal Bridges" was available to test his knowledge with family after the exhibition.

Between Compiègne and Passel, work on the Seine-Nord Europe Canal has been underway since 2021. Construction of quays, roundabouts, bridges, etc. François, Carlos, Jeff… and the others, are participating in the creation of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal and its developments.
During a photo exhibition, you had the opportunity to discover those who make the Canal in Compiégnois. The second temporary exhibition of the Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe was held at the Maison du Canal in Compiègne, from March 5 to April 30, 2024 and resumed from June 11 to August 03, 2024. PFor this new edition, the exhibition was supplemented with information on Canal business opportunities framed by the major project approach.
The first temporary exhibition of Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe entitled “In the nature of the Canal” was held from November 15 to January 31, 2024. Dedicated to water and the environment of the CSNE, it addressed the environmental issues at the heart of the creation of the Seine Nord-Europe Canal, from its design to its operation. When and how is the Canal filled? How does the Canal preserve water resources? How are fauna and flora taken into account? How does the Canal fit into its environment?

The Compiègne Canal House welcomes you to the site of the former Staff School, within the premises of the Maison des Projets de l'Agglomération de la Région de Compiègne, 27 Place d'Armes – Compiègne (see map below), Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 13:30 p.m. to 17 p.m.
