The Seine-Nord Europe Canal Company was present for the first time at the "TEN-T Days" organized this year in Ljubljana, with the partners of the Seine Escaut network (the Public Service of Wallonia, De Vlaamse Waterweg and Voies Navigables de France) .
The “TEN-T Days”, a very important event organized by the European Commission allowing all European projects to exchange on their practices and their experience.
The Commissioner responsible for Transport, Violeta Bulc, did the honor of visiting the stand of the Seine-Escaut network, recalling the importance of the project for Europe.
On the sidelines of the show, as part of the “MoreEUbudget4transport” approach, a declaration for more budget for transport was signed in Ljubljana by the actors. This was submitted to the European Budget Commissioner, Mr. Oettinger. This declaration recalls in particular that without transport there can be no single market, exchanges between peoples, nor growth.
Also, it is important that the next European budget programming 2021-2027 provides the means for the interconnection mechanism in Europe to complete the infrastructures of the structuring network.
The Seine-Nord Europe Canal Company fully supports the “MoreEUbudget4transport” approach. The Seine Nord-Europe Canal is also part of this structuring network at the heart of the North Sea-Mediterranean corridor of the Connecting Europe Mechanism supported by the European Commission.
