Anticipating the construction site: the diversion of the networks

An infrastructure project such as the Seine-Nord Europe Canal can cross aerial or underground networks (water, gas, electricity, fiber optics, etc.) on its route. These must then be moved or deviated in order to allow the main works to be carried out.

The company TRAPIL – which carries out oil transport by pipeline* – hired, at the end of last year, work to adapt its network in the Ytres sector (62). With the particularity of restore the latter underground between the current Canal du Nord tunnel and the right-of-way of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. Nearly 600 meters of tubes have been installed.

To do this, as a subcontractor of the SPIECAPAG company in charge of the works, the SME Coquart of Saint-Michel-sur-Ternoise located in Hauts-de-France (62), participated in this delicate and spectacular operation.
