Meeting between SCSNE and Unicem

The Société du Canal Seine Nord Europe wishes to encourage modal shift and the recovery of the rubble from the construction site. In this context, it works closely with professionals in theUnion of Quarry and Building Materials Industries Hauts de France. They set up regular meetings.

The objective of these exchanges: to address the issues related to the supply of materials to the site, the logistical dimension and the modal shift both by waterway and by rail, but also the management of excess rubble.

As part of the preparation of the project, the SCSNE met on Tuesday 13 February with representatives of Unicem des Hauts de France.

This meeting was devoted to the restitution of data from a survey distributed to Unicem members, relating to the question of excess cuttings in the sector between Compiègne and Passel.

Within the framework of the next exchanges, the members of the UNICEM are asking for more complete information on the quality of the materials extracted in order to better understand their valuations as well as on the strategy relating to the recoverable excess deposits post-works.
