Rescinding instructions for use

Published on 31 August 2022

The new bed of the Oise north of Montmacq respects the natural characteristics of the route of the river (slope, sinuosity, width, etc.) while promoting the creation of areas conducive to biodiversity. The rescinding work is carried out in 4 stages.

Step 1: Digging

The new bed is dug east of the current Oise. The water from the water table rises quickly.

Step 2: connection

Connections are opened between the two beds. The river gradually borrows its new bed.

Step 3: before commissioning

The old arms are cut by dams. The aquatic fauna is fished and then released in the new bed.

Step 4: Backfill

The earth from the excavation is used to backfill the old bed pending the development of the Canal.
