This Saturday, July 8, 2023, a "Canal Hike" was organized in Noyon. A first in the Noyonnais which enabled nearly 90 participants to discover the Canal Seine-Nord Europe (CSNE) and the developments to come in the area.
This "in situ" hike, punctuated by six commented stops along the route, allowed participants to discover different aspects of the CSNE: the reading of the landscape, thanks to an intervention by the Council of Architecture, Urbanism and Environment of the Oise (CAUE60), the 10 road restorations planned in the territory, the agricultural and environmental issues, the management of the Canal's water , as well as the Noyon lock, an exceptional structure with a drop height of 21,07 meters which will be one of the 3 locks open to visitors on the route.
An afternoon rich in exchanges which allowed participants to ask their questions and discover the Canal Seine-Nord Europe in a fun way.
