Major project approach Meetings

This Wednesday, October 8th, marked the third and final Canal Entreprises Morning of 2025. Following Bapaume on March 11th and Valenciennes on June 5th, the Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe and its partners invited companies likely to respond to the Canal's public tenders to Oignies (Pas-de-Calais).

These meetings, organised as part of the Canal Entreprises scheme co-piloted by the Hauts-de-France Region and the CCI Hauts-de-France, are an opportunity for large companies, but also and especially for local SMEs , to discover the progress of the construction site, the business opportunities to seize and the Canal Entreprises service offer (including the essential tool: CCI Business ).

the integrated service offer

This last meeting was also an opportunity for the Pas-de-Calais department, as representative of the Canal Solidaire scheme, to present the new integrated EFI (Employment – ​​Training – Integration) service offer to the economic players in the territory.

This service offering, dedicated to awarding companies and combining 3 of the 5 components of the Grand Chantier initiative ( Employment Channel , Training Channel and Solidarity Channel ), aims to:

  • To support companies in their recruitment and the application of integration clauses,
  • To ensure the adequacy between the existing training offer and the needs of companies,
  • To inform and raise public awareness about the site's employment and training opportunities.

This applies from the launch of the market until its completion.

What was the outcome of these meetings?

  • Companies, particularly SMEs, are ever more numerous,
  • Knowledge of the opportunities of the Canal construction site by the economic players in the region which is increasing day by day,
  • Constructive discussions around the tools available to businesses.
