A meeting was held on September 12, 2017 in the presence of the Minister responsible for Transport, the Minister for Action and Public Accounts and the presidents or representatives of the Hauts-de-France and Ile-de-France regional councils. France as well as the departmental councils of Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Nord and Somme.

This meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the progress of the Seine-Nord Europe canal and to discuss the local authorities' proposals for the future of the project.
