New stage for the bridge which will cross the Seine-Nord Europe Canal (CSNE) between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt: its abutments are “dressed” with plaques indicating the name of the two municipalities and their kilometer point.

The installation of the plates on the CSNE bridge of the RD 66, between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt, was finalized during April 2024. Their objective? Serve as a landmark for boatmen and walkers who will follow the Canal while anchoring the structure in the territory

These plates are made in UHPFRC : ultra-high performance fiber-reinforced concrete. Beyond its aesthetic appearance, this concrete is characterized by great resistance to deformation, abrasion and great durability. 

A bias expressed on all CSNE bridges

To ensure coherence, unity of processing and harmonious integration of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal works into the landscape, an architectural and landscape orientation plan guides their construction. Among the guidelines, common to the realization of bridges of the Seine-Nord Canal Europe throughout the route, we find the installation of concrete plates on the abutments, indicating the towns and the kilometer point on either side of the bridge.
